Features · Weekly numbers

One short email on Monday that says how the week went.

If you do not know how many calls came in, you cannot know whether anything you are paying for is working. The fix is a few numbers, looked at once a week.

Why numbers get skipped

The owner of an auto shop is good with a wrench, not with spreadsheets. Numbers are scattered: calls in a phone log, bookings in a calendar, reviews on Google, sales in a till. Pulling them together takes an hour no one has, so it never happens, and decisions get made by feel.

What you can do alone

Five numbers on a sheet of paper will do.

  1. Calls received and calls missed. Your carrier's log has both.
  2. New customers, and where they said they came from. Ask every time.
  3. Jobs booked and jobs completed.
  4. New reviews and your average rating.
  5. Money in, money out for the week, even roughly.
  6. Look at them every Monday morning for ten minutes, with coffee.

What Centera sets up

Each Monday you get one email with the week's numbers: calls answered and missed, minutes used against your plan, bookings, reviews, posts, and, where they apply, results from campaigns and ads. There is also a dashboard in the app if you want more detail.

We report against your plan's limits so there are no surprises. If you are close to a limit, we ping you before you reach it.

How it works day to day

The email reaches you early Monday. It is short enough to read standing up. Where something looks off, such as a drop in bookings or a bad review, it says so plainly, and we raise it on your account call if your plan includes one.

Numbers come from your own system: your calls, your calendar, your reviews. We do not invent benchmarks or compare you to made-up averages. If a number is thin because it is early, the email says that too.

How to read the email and what to do with it

Start with calls: how many came in and how many were answered by you or Nora. Then bookings, because those are what pay. Next reviews, the count and the average. Then, if you run campaigns or ads, what they brought. Do not chase a single week; look for a direction across a month.

One bad week in January means little. Three in a row is a conversation.

Pick one thing each Monday. If missed calls are high on Saturdays, change who covers them. If bookings are low, look at the booking page. If reviews are slow, ask more. Small, steady changes move a shop more than occasional overhauls, and the email makes it clear which change to try next.

Share the email with a partner or bookkeeper if you like. Two people looking at the same five numbers usually spot problems faster than one. And if a number looks wrong, say so; we would rather fix the tracking than have you trust a bad figure.

If you run more than one location, the email splits by location, so you can see which shop is busy and which needs attention. Start with one number per location, the bookings, and add detail as you get used to reading it. A simple habit kept for a year beats a perfect dashboard opened twice.

Where to start

Take the five numbers above for last week and write them down tonight. Do it again next Monday. After a month you will see a pattern. For where the calls come from, read phone answering.
