Booking a treatment is a small puzzle
A spa schedule has more moving parts than it first seems. A 90-minute treatment needs a therapist and a room for 90 minutes, plus a gap to reset the room. A couple's session needs two therapists at once. A guest who wants "Maria on Thursday" needs Maria to be working Thursday.
Handling that by phone means a lot of pencil and eraser. Handling it by message means the guest waits for a reply, and some of them won't.
A page for each treatment
Centera sets up a booking page for each treatment on your menu: a 60-minute massage, a 90-minute session, a facial, a couple's package. Each page knows how long the treatment runs, how much reset time you need afterward, and which therapists offer it. The guest chooses the treatment, optionally the therapist, and sees only the times that really work.
You can keep some treatments off the page. If a package needs a conversation first, it can be set to request a booking rather than confirm one.
After the guest books
- The calendar updates. The booking is placed on the therapist's calendar, synced with the one you already use, and the room time is held.
- A confirmation goes out. The treatment, time, address and arrival notes, such as when to arrive and where to park.
- A reminder follows. With long sessions, a missed slot is a lost hour of a therapist's day, and a reminder is a gentle nudge.
- Moving it is easy. The confirmation has reschedule and cancel links, so a guest can change plans at 11 pm without waking anyone.
Gift cards and first visits
Many guests discover a studio through a gift card. You can point the booking page to the gift card details you offer, and recipients who arrive with one can book the same way anyone else does. For first-time guests, you can add a short note on the page about arriving a few minutes early or filling out your intake form, in your own words.
Keeping rooms and therapists in step
The benefit shows up in the quiet details. A therapist who finishes a session at 3:15 is not surprised by a 3:00 booking she never heard about. The front desk, if you have one, sees the same calendar as the page. And on slow weekday mornings, a guest browsing at breakfast can see the open slots and take one before they disappear.
If you run a seasonal push, such as a holiday gift card weekend, the same page handles the extra demand without extra calls.
A QR code for the lobby
You also get a QR code that opens the booking page. Place it at the front desk, in the treatment room hallway or on a small card at checkout. A guest leaving a session can book the next one while the feeling of the last one is fresh, and it takes ten seconds on a phone.
The 15-minute review shows a booking page built around your own treatment menu.
Questions owners ask
Can guests choose a therapist?
Yes, or they can pick a time and let the page assign whoever is available.
Does it handle couples' sessions?
Yes. You can set a treatment to need two therapists at once, so the page offers only times when both are free.
Are texts sent?
Text confirmations start once your business texting is registered. Until then, confirmations go by email and in the app.
Can I add buffer time between guests?
Yes. You set the reset time for each treatment.
