Why social goes quiet
A detailer finishes a ceramic coating, takes a great photo, and it sits on his phone for four months. A barber means to post every Friday and gets to it twice. Social feels like a second job on top of the real one, so it stops.
The cost is not the missing likes. It is that someone checks your Instagram before booking, finds a post from last spring, and wonders if you are still open.
What you can do alone
You do not need a studio. You need a routine.
- Shoot at the end of every job. Ten seconds of video, two photos. Keep the lighting natural and the lens clean.
- Show the work, not the logo. Before and after, the tool in use, the finished room, the plated dish.
- Write one plain sentence. What it was, where, and how to book.
- Post at the times your customers are on their phones, usually evenings and weekends.
- Reply to comments the same day, even with a thumbs-up.
What Centera sets up
You send raw clips and photos from your phone, as they are. Our editor and team turn them into reels first and posts second, with captions, hashtags and good timing, and put them out on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Google. You approve with one tap.
The planner in the Centera app lets you schedule your own posts as well, as many as you like. How many pieces we make from your clips each month depends on the plan. Fuller strategy, a monthly theme and a content meeting come with the Social Creative add-on or the largest plan.
How it works day to day
After a job you drop a few clips into a shared folder or the app. A few days later a reel and a post come back for approval. You read, tap yes, and they go out on schedule. On the bigger plans, comments and direct messages on your posts are answered for you.
If you send nothing, we do not invent content. We make what you give us look good, and we do not use clips from other shops or stock footage of strangers pretending to be your crew.
What gets the best response and what we leave alone
For local shops, the posts that work are simple. A transformation: dirty to clean, worn to new. A short clip of a hard job going well. A face people know. A seasonal reminder, like getting the AC checked before summer. A thank-you to a customer who agreed to appear.
Polished ads tend to do worse than honest work in good light.
We do not post anything you have not approved. We do not fake testimonials, reuse another shop's clips, or buy followers. We do not promise reach. We use sensible captions and timing and cross-post across platforms, so one clip does more than one job.
Where to start
Open your camera roll and count the jobs from the last month you have clips of. Even five is enough to start. The one inbox page covers where the replies end up.
Questions owners ask
Do I need to be on camera?
No. Hands, tools and finished work make strong posts. If you want to appear, we can edit around that.
Do you pick what I post?
You send the material and approve every piece. We choose cuts, captions and timing.
Can I still post myself?
Yes. The planner in the app takes as many scheduled posts as you want.
What if I send nothing this month?
Then there is nothing to make. We remind you, but we do not create content that is not yours.
