More detailing reviews from customers who just saw the finished car.

The best moment to ask for a review is when the owner walks around the car and goes quiet for a second. Here is how a detailing shop asks at that moment without nagging.

Why detailing reviews are hard to collect

Your work is visual and personal. A customer who gets their truck back looking new feels it for a day, and then life takes over. By the weekend they've forgotten the name of the shop. The ones who write a review on their own tend to be the unhappy ones, who remember exactly what bothered them.

On a map search, reviews are the first thing a stranger reads. Photos of finished cars help, but a few lines from a real owner describing a coating job do the heavy lifting.

Ask after the job, not before

With Centera, once a job is marked done, every customer gets a short message with a direct link to your Google review page, sent the same day while the car is still clean in the driveway. The wording is plain and written in your shop's voice.

  1. One message for everyone. A direct link to your Google review page, and a line that says "or tell us directly."
  2. No one is screened. The Google link does not depend on a rating, and it opens your review page with no extra account hunting.
  3. Low ratings ping you. If a customer leaves a low rating anywhere, you get a ping right away, so you hear about the missed spot in the door jamb and can reply.
  4. You fix it. Call them back from the app, offer to redo the area, and most of these end well.

A review card and QR for the counter

Detailing has a built-in moment at the counter: the handoff. Centera gives you a printed-style review card with a QR code that opens your Google review page. Put it in the cup holder with the invoice, tape one to the register, and hand a card to the fleet manager who just watched six vans roll out. Someone who prefers a face-to-face thank-you can scan it on the spot.

Replying to reviews

Answer reviews in your own words. Thank a customer for a coating review by naming the car or the finish. For a harsh one, stay calm: acknowledge it, say what you will do, and take the details offline. Replies are read by the next customer more than by the one who wrote the review. Centera pings you when a review lands, so you can answer while the job is still fresh in your mind.

What we don't do

We don't buy reviews, write fake ones, or offer a discount in exchange for a good rating. Google prohibits all of those, and a flagged profile costs far more than it helps. Reviews should come from people who actually brought you their car.

Questions owners ask

Does every customer get the Google link?

Yes. Every customer gets the same request with a direct link to your Google review page. The message also offers a direct line to you, for anyone who prefers it.

Can I ask for reviews on past jobs?

You can use the review card and QR with any customer, past or present, the next time they come in or when you send a follow-up.

What if I get a review that is unfair?

Reply politely with the facts. If it breaks Google's rules, you can report it through your listing. Don't argue in public.
